I thought this was brilliant. So often we place Christian celebrity singers on such a big pedestal. I’m not against famous people or anything- but I think this helps with perspective:
This reminds me of one of the chapters in the book The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. If you haven’t read that book yet- I highly recommend it. Lewis talks about who will be “famous” in heaven. It will be people we’ve never even heard of who faithfully served God without acclaim or recognition.
So when you toil and serve faithfully in the drudgery of everyday life, just remember that you are doing everything- taking care of your kids, working your job, going to school- for the glory of God.
